Three Power Stations Under 300 Wh: Where RIVER 3 Plus, Elite 30 V2 and SOLIX C300 Actually Differ
Summary
Not in capacity. EcoFlow's RIVER 3 Plus (286 Wh), BLUETTI's Elite 30 V2 (288 Wh) and Anker's SOLIX C300 (288 Wh) store the same energy within 2 Wh of each other. The differences are in AC output, where the C300 is rated at 300 W against 600 W for the other two, in solar input, which runs from a recommended 100 W on the C300 to 220 W on the RIVER 3 Plus, and in whether the unit can be expanded. All three are too large to fly with: FAA's limit for spare lithium ion batteries is 100 Wh, or 160 Wh with airline approval.

EcoFlow sells the RIVER 3 Plus on its own and as the "RIVER 3 Max," which is the same unit stacked with an Extra Battery 300 (286 Wh) for 572 Wh in total. Neither BLUETTI nor Anker lists an expansion battery for the other two.
What 288 Wh runs, and for how long
Geneverse publishes a rule of thumb for its own units that applies to any battery: runtime equals capacity in Wh times 0.85, divided by the load in watts. Applied to 288 Wh:
| Load | Watts | Runtime |
|---|---|---|
| LED lantern | 10 W | about 24 hours |
| Laptop | 60 W | about 4 hours |
| Small refrigerator | 120 W | about 2 hours |
| Phone charges | 11 Wh each (EcoFlow's figure) | about 22 charges before losses |
Our camping guide's load list of two phones, a lantern and a laptop comes to about 192 Wh a day, so one night fits in any of the three with room to spare. A refrigerator does not: EcoFlow rates its 1,024 Wh DELTA 2 at 7 to 14 hours on a 120 W fridge, and these units hold a little over a quarter of that.
The 300 W limit on the C300 is the one to check first
A 300 W rating excludes most kitchen appliances and hair dryers outright, and the "600 W with SurgePad" figure is Anker's own name for a boost mode, not a second rating. If the device you want to run is in the 300 to 600 W range, the RIVER 3 Plus and Elite 30 V2 cover it at their rated figure and the C300 does not.
Solar: 100 W against 220 W
The C300's page recommends a 100 W panel and lists an 11 to 28 V input window on an XT60 connector. The Elite 30 V2 accepts up to 200 W and the RIVER 3 Plus up to 220 W. At the same panel size the difference is small; the gap opens if you already own a 200 W folding panel, which the C300 cannot take at full output. Panel voltage has to fit the window too; see our guide on pairing a panel with a power station.
None of them boards a plane
All three sit between 286 and 288 Wh. FAA's PackSafe rules allow spare lithium ion batteries up to 100 Wh in carry-on baggage and, with airline approval, up to two between 101 and 160 Wh. These units are nearly double that, so they travel by road only.
