Can the Jackery Explorer 2000 Plus and HomePower 2000 Plus v2 Share Expansion Batteries?

Summary

Not according to Jackery. Its support article, updated August 6, 2026, says expansion batteries are model-specific and not compatible with other power station models. The site menu lists them separately too: Battery Pack 2000 Plus for the Explorer 2000 Plus, and Battery Pack 2000 Plus v2 for the HomePower 2000 Plus v2.

The support article names six models that support expansion: E1000 PLUS, E2000 PLUS, HP3600 PLUS, HP3600Pro Max, E5000 PLUS, and HP2000 Plus v2. For the E1000 Plus, the menu shows an expansion cable in place of a battery.

How the Explorer 2000 Plus is sold now

The Explorer 2000 Plus holds 2,042.8 Wh and puts out 3,000 W AC total with a 6,000 W surge peak. It has two 8 mm DC inputs; in the 17.5 to 60 V range each takes 12 A, doubling to 24 A and 1,400 W across both. The Battery Pack 2000 Plus matches it at 2,042.8 Wh and sells for $799.

Jackery's menu lists the unit as "Explorer 2000 Plus (Refurbished)," and its product page carries a banner pointing to the HomePower 2000 Plus v2. The Solar Generator 2000 Plus came in six bundles, including the power station alone at $2,199 and with two 200 W panels at $3,099; the 6 kWh versions with two battery packs were refurbished units. Every bundle whose contents appeared on the product page was marked "Sold Out."
