How Heavy Is a Folding Solar Panel per 100 Watts?

Summary

Across five folding panels from EcoFlow (45 W to 220 W) and Jackery (100 W), weight landed between 3.1 and 3.6 kg for every 100 W. Folded, EcoFlow's 220 W panel measures 615 x 590 mm, close to Jackery's 100 W panel at 610 x 552 mm, but unfolded they run 2,155 mm and 1,220 mm long.

Specs and prices are from each brand's U.S. store. EcoFlow's 110 W listing gives its unfolded length as 62.5 in and 178.5 cm, which do not match, so its dimensions are left out. Jackery's SolarSaga 100W page says the product has been upgraded to the SolarSaga 100 Air and shows it as sold out.

Voltage, plugs and warranty

Open-circuit voltage runs 25.6 V on the EcoFlow 45 W and 60 W, 24.8 V on the Jackery, 21.8 V on the EcoFlow 110 W and 21.5 V on the 220 W. The EcoFlow 60 W has DC5521 and Type-C connections, the standard 45 W uses a solar connector adapted to MC4, and the 220 W ships with an XT60i charging cable. The Jackery panel carries its own USB-A (5 V, 2.4 A) and USB-C (5 V, 3 A) outputs.

EcoFlow lists a 12-month warranty on the 110 W and 220 W; Jackery's is 3+2 years. For stands, the EcoFlow 110 W case doubles as one, the 220 W has a bracket adjustable from 30 to 60 degrees, and the Jackery has adjustable kickstands.
