EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus or Anker SOLIX C1000? Same 1,800 W, Different Surge, Solar and Expansion
Summary
The two are 32 Wh apart, 1,024 Wh for the DELTA 3 Plus and 1,056 Wh for the C1000, and both are rated at 1,800 W. EcoFlow lists 3,600 W surge; Anker's 2,400 W figure is SurgePad, not an equivalent motor-start rating. EcoFlow splits solar across two 500 W inputs for 1,000 W; Anker takes 600 W on one XT-60 input. Both have expansion options; the original C1000 supports a matching expansion battery. EcoFlow rates its cells at 4,000 cycles to 80%, Anker at 3,000. Neither price was confirmed on October 4, 2026.
Does the surge figure matter?
Both have a stated 1,800 W continuous rating. Surge and voltage-adjusting boost modes are different specifications. Anker calls its 2,400 W feature SurgePad; do not use that figure as an equivalent compressor-start rating or assume either unit starts a particular motor.
Which charges faster from panels?
The DELTA 3 Plus, by ceiling: 1,000 W against 600 W, which EcoFlow turns into a 70-minute full charge with both inputs in use. The earlier roughly 300 W daily-refill calculation is an annual-average grid-connected model, not a charging guarantee; the DELTA's advantage is speed in intermittent sun and the option to connect two unlike panels without wiring them together. Both windows run 11 to 60 V. Anker publishes current limits, 10 A below 32 V and 12.5 A from 32 to 60 V, which cap a low-voltage array well under 600 W; EcoFlow's page as we read it does not give the per-input current.
Which can grow?
Both can expand. Anker's official C1000 introduction lists 2,112 Wh with an expansion battery for the original 1,056 Wh model. EcoFlow lists four compatible extra-battery models with its specified Alternator Charger XT150 Output Cable. Confirm the exact model generation and cable; absence from a store page is not proof that expansion is unsupported.

The short version
Compare delivered price, carrying weight, permitted panel configurations and the exact expansion system you plan to buy. Both have expansion routes; the earlier recommendation based on C1000 having none has been withdrawn.
