How Long Can a Geneverse HomePower ONE PRO or TWO PRO Keep a Fridge Running in an Outage?

Published · By the SolarPanelX editors · Prices and specs as of that date, from the pages under Sources

Summary

Geneverse's support site gives a rule of thumb: runtime equals capacity in Wh times 0.85, divided by the device's watts. For a 60 W refrigerator that works out to about 17 hours on the ONE PRO (1,210 Wh) and about 34 hours on the TWO PRO (2,419 Wh). A 200 W refrigerator cuts those to roughly 5 and 10 hours, and Geneverse says real results vary with use and conditions.

Runtime by refrigerator size

Geneverse puts small to medium refrigerators at 60 to 200 W. Here is its formula across that range.

Fridge drawONE PRO (1,210 Wh)TWO PRO (2,419 Wh)
60 Wabout 17.1 hoursabout 34.3 hours
120 Wabout 8.6 hoursabout 17.1 hours
200 Wabout 5.1 hoursabout 10.3 hours

The 34.3-hour figure matches the worked example in Geneverse's own FAQ. Its all-products overview runs the same formula with 1,200 Wh and 2,200 Wh, which do not match the 1,210 Wh and 2,419 Wh on the specification page.

How much it can power at once

The ONE PRO is rated at 1,200 W continuous (2,400 W surge) and the TWO PRO at 2,200 W (4,400 W surge), each with three 120 V AC outlets. The LiFePO4 battery is said to hold at least 80% of its original capacity after 3,000 full cycles. The ONE PRO weighs 38.36 lb (17.4 kg) and the TWO PRO 61.3 lb (27.8 kg).

Recharging during a long outage

Solar comes in through two DC ports, each taking 17.5 to 54 V and up to 400 W, for 800 W total. Geneverse's charging table shows a full charge from 800 W of solar in 2 to 3 hours for the ONE PRO and 4 hours for the TWO PRO. From a 96 W car outlet it takes 14.5 hours and 28.5 hours.

AC input is listed at 800 W for the ONE PRO and 1,500 W for the TWO PRO on the specification page. The charging-time pages instead say AC charging tops out at 1,000 W and that the included charger is 800 W.

Storage between emergencies

According to the FAQ, a fully charged PRO unit holds its charge for at least a year, and Geneverse recommends using and recharging it every six months. It comes with a five-year limited warranty.
