Are Qcells Residential Panels Made in U.S. Factories?

Summary

The Q.TRON BLK M-G2+ product page says the module is "Proudly assembled in the USA." Qcells runs factories in Dalton and Cartersville, Georgia, and Cartersville began making solar cells in June 2026. Not every residential model carries that wording, though: the Q.PEAK DUO BLK ML-G10+ page has no U.S. origin statement, and the Q.TRON BLK M-G2+ datasheet has no country-of-origin line.

Two factories in Georgia

Qcells announced on June 9, 2026 that it had begun manufacturing cells in Cartersville. When fully operational, that plant will make 3.3 GW a year of ingots, wafers and cells, and 3.5 GW of modules. Module assembly there was already at full capacity, building 16,700 panels a day.

Qcells also manufactures in Malaysia and South Korea.

How the four residential models are labeled

The residential section of the U.S. site lists four models, two of which are AC modules marked "/AC" in the model name. Their product pages describe origin differently.

All four pages say certain variants contain U.S. manufactured components that can contribute to qualifying for the 10% domestic content bonus for applicable tax credits. Each adds that the statement is not tax advice and may change with the rules.

The Q.TRON BLK M-G2+ datasheet (April 2026, Rev02) covers five power classes from 420 to 440 Wp. It names the variants with U.S. manufactured components as Q.TRON BLK M-G2.C+, M-G2.D+ and M-G2.H+. The product page starts the range at 415 Wp, 5 W lower than the datasheet.
