Is LONGi's Hi-MO X10 Sold for American Home Roofs?

Summary

It does not appear on LONGi's U.S. website. The only modules in the U.S. site's product menu are three Hi-MO 5 models; the Hi-MO X10 appears only on the global site. None of the Hi-MO X10 product pages call it a residential product, and the lightest version, Guardian Light Design, is described as designed for commercial and industrial (C&I) roofs with low load capacity.

The family page says Hi-MO X10 takes over the core technology of HPBC 2.0 cells. It lists two series, Scientist and Guardian. The Scientist page gives only a maximum power of 670 W and a maximum efficiency of 24.80%, with no dimension table.

What the Guardian Light Design datasheet certifies

The datasheet is marked "Preliminary" and dated June 25, 2025. Its certification list shows IEC 61215, IEC 61730 and other IEC and ISO certificates; UL 61730 is not listed. The maximum system voltage is given only as DC 1500 V (IEC).

It uses 1.6 mm single glass and weighs 7.2 kg per m². Degradation is under 1% in the first year and 0.35% a year from year 2 to year 30, for a warranted 88.85% in year 30.

The Global Distribution page on LONGi's U.S. site says the company has factories in the USA, Vietnam and Malaysia and sales offices in the United States. It does not say which products the U.S. factories make.
