What Changed in the Growatt MIN XH2 US Compared With the MIN-XH?

Summary

Growatt's product page lists five changes. PV input current per MPPT goes up to 18 A and short-circuit current to 25 A, and switching between grid and off-grid now takes 20 ms or less. Motor starting support reaches 185 A LRA, and the PV startup voltage drops to 50 V.

What the product page leaves out

The page covers the models as one range, "MIN 7600-11400TL-XH2 US," and adds a DC/AC ratio of up to 2.0 and 98% maximum efficiency. Ratings for each output size are left to the datasheet and do not appear on the page.

Growatt ties the higher input current to compatibility with high-power modules. That 18 A and 25 A is what matters when a large, high-current panel goes on one MPPT. We do not decide which panels suit which model; that follows Growatt's and the panel maker's specifications.

What "Battery Ready" means here

The product category is "Battery Ready Inverter," and the page says it is ready for both DC-coupled and AC-coupled systems. Its tag reads "APX 2.0 Battery." In Growatt's U.S. product list, the APX HV US Battery appears with a 5 to 30 kWh range.

Whole-home backup adds a transfer box outside the inverter. Of the boxes Growatt lists, the SYN 200U-23-US page says it supports up to three MIN 7.6-11.4kTL-XH2 US units in parallel, integrates a 200 A breaker on the grid side, switches within 20 ms and supports a generator. The certificate file names also pair the inverter with the SYN 200-XH-US, so more than one box model is in play.
